Warrant Officer Class II (Company Sergeant-Major) John Ewart McKee

Born on 21 March 1891 in Armstoun, Quebec - son of C. McKee, Ottawa, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as tailor; single; currently a member of the Governor General's Foot Guards (since 14 January 1915); no previous military service; Church of England; height of 5 feet 8 inches; chest of 39 inches fully expanded; clear complexion; gray eyes; fair hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 26 February 1915 (number 410327) - transferred to the 2nd Battalion, CEF, on 25 August 1915.
