Private Russell William McKaig

Born on 30 August 1895 in Wallaceburg, Ontario - son of William McKaig, Wallaceburg, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: trade as motor mechanic; single; currently a member of the active militia; previously served with The Royal Canadian Regiment; Wesleyan; height of 5 feet 7 inches; chest of 37 inches fully expanded; fair complexion; blue eyes; dark brown hair.

Joined the 33rd Battalion, CEF, on 2 March 1915 (number 401588) - taken on the strength of the 3rd Divisional Signal Company, CEF, on 21 January 1916 - transferred to the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 9 or 10 January 1918 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 10 May 1919.
