Private Alick McKenzie

Born on 22 June 1889 in Laggan Cluny, Aberdeenshire, Scotland - son of Louis McKenzie, Laggan Cluny, Aberdeenshire, Scotland - at the time of his conscription in 1918: present address in Gananoque, Ontario; single; Presbyterian; trade as stone cutter; no current or previous military service; height of 5 feet 8 inches; chest of 35.5 inches fully expanded; fair complexion; blue eyes; fair hair.

Conscripted into the 1st Depot Battalion, Eastern Ontario Regiment, in Kingston, Ontario, on 8 February 1918 (number 3056579) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 9 or 10 August 1918 - wounded on 30 September 1918 - invalided to England on 2 October 1918.
