Private Samuel Frederick Steeper

Born on 14 December 1890 in Brockville, Ontario - son of Elizabeth Steeper, Brockville, Ontario - at the time of his conscription in 1918: present address same as mother; single; Church of England; trade as botteler; no current or previous military service; height of 5 feet 9.5 inches; chest of 38.5 inches fully expanded; light complexion; blue eyes; brown hair.

Conscripted into the 1st Depot Battalion, Eastern Ontario Regiment, CEF, in Kingston, Ontario, on 27 March 1918 (number 3057533) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 12 or 13 September 1918 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 16 June 1919.
