Private Henry Steadman

Born on 27 October 1890 in Keighley, Yorkshire, England - husband of Emma Steadman (later Parr), Toronto, Ontario - son of John and Thurza Steadman, Keighley, Yorkshire, England - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address same as wife; trade as teamster; married; no current military service; previously served with the Grenadiers (one year); Church of England; height of 5 feet 6.5 inches; chest of 32.5 inches fully expanded; fair complexion; blue eyes; fair hair.

Joined the 126th Battalion, CEF, in Toronto, Ontario, on 12 January 1916 (number 775184) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 4 or 6 December 1916 - killed in action on 30 October 1917 - buried in Tyne Cot Cemetery (grave XXIV.H.2), France.
