Private George Francis Sprackett

Born on 26 May 1891 in Gilmour, Ontario - son of George Sprackett, Gilmour, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address in Gilmour, Ontario; trade as engineer; single; no current or previous military service; Church of England; height of 5 feet 9.5 inches; chest of 37.5 inches fully expanded; dark complexion; brown eyes; dark brown hair.

Joined the 254th Battalion, CEF, in Belleville, Ontario, on 12 December 1916 (number 1093124) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 8 or 9 March 1918 - died on 23 April 1918 of wounds suffered that day - buried in Aubigny Communal Cemetery Extension (grave III.A.3), France.
