Private Charles Edward Hutchinson

Born on 31 May 1878 in Nottingham, England - husband of R.E. Hutchinson, Vancouver, British Columbia - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as musician, married, no current military service, previously served with the Sherwood Foresters (seven years) and the 6th D.C.O.R. (five years), Church of England, height of 5 feet 7.5 inches, chest of 36 inches fully expanded, fresh complexion, brown eyes, dark hair.

Joined the 72nd Battalion, CEF, as a member of the battalion band in Vancouver, British Columbia, on 4 October 1915 (number 129992) - landed in France with the 72nd Battalion on 12 August 1916 - transferred to the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 1 or 2 May 1917 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 16 June 1919.
