Private Fred Saucie

Born on 14 December 1898 in Mattawa, Ontario - son of Mrs. Hanna Saucie, Calvin, Ontario - at the time of his conscription in 1918: present address at McCools Camp, Eau Claire, Ontario; single; Roman Catholic; trade as farmer; no current or previous military service; height of 5 feet 5.5 inches; chest of 35 inches fully expanded; ruddy complexion; blue eyes; light brown hair.

Conscripted into the 2nd Depot Battalion, Eastern Ontario Regiment, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 25 April 1918 (number 3321155) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 26 or 27 September 1918 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 16 June 1919.
