Private Lloyd Arthur Beecroft

Born on 14 June 1896 in Walsingham Centre, Ontario - son of Mrs. Sarah Beecroft, Vienna, Ontario - attestation form notes present address in Vienna, Ontario, trade as carpenter, single, no current or previous military service, height of 5 feet 6 inches, chest of 36 inches, dark complexion, hazel eyes, brown hair, Baptist.

Joined the 91st Canadian Infantry Battalion in St. Thomas, Ontario, on 3 February 1916 (number 189955) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion in France on 20 or 21 August 1916 - wounded on 9 April 1917 - invalided to England on 21 April 1917.

My family is from London Ontario, about 20 minutes from St Thomas...
