Sergeant Charles Frederick Hamlyn

Born on 27 November 1877 in Brantford, Ontario - brother of Mrs. B. Deverell, Woodstock, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address same as sister, trade as journalist, single, no current or previous military service, Baptist, height of 5 feet 9.5 inches, chest of 35.5 inches fully expanded, fair complexion, blue eyes, light brown hair.

Joined the 168th Battalion, CEF, in Woodstock, Ontario, on 25 February 1916 (number 675631) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 12 or 13 February 1917 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 16 June 1919.
