Private Samuel Hamilton

Born on 4 August 1885 in Goldburn, Ontario - son of Mrs. Christina Hamilton, Carleton Place, Ontario - at the time of his conscription in 1918: present address in Carleton Place, Ontario, single, Church of England, trade as farmer, no current military service, previous service in Sandy Hill [?], height of 5 feet 7 inches, chest of 38 inches fully expanded, dark complexion, blue eyes, black hair.

Conscripted into the 1st Depot Battalion, Eastern Ontario Regiment, CEF, in Kingston, Ontario, on 15 January 1918 (number 3056154) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 10 or 11 October 1918 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 16 June 1919.
