Private Thomas McNaughton

Born on 7 July 1883 in Glasgow, Scotland - no next of kin provided - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as stonecutter; single; currently a member of the 23 Regiment [British? American?] (nine years); previously served with the Maxim Gun Section, United States Army; Presbyterian; height of 5 feet 7.5 inches; chest of 37.5 inches fully expanded; dark complexion; brown eyes; light brown hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 15 January 1915 (number 410337) - transferred to the 2nd Battalion, CEF, on 25 August 1915.
