Sergeant Theodore Sloat

Born on 6 June 1890 in Fredericton, New Brunswick - next of kin listed as Mrs. William Sloat, Fredericton, New Brunswick - at the time of his enlistment in 1914: trade as shoemaker; single; currently a member of the 71st Regiment (five years); no previous military service; Church of England; height of 5 feet 9 inches; chest of 43 inches fully expanded; fair complexion; blue eyes; light brown hair.

Joined the 12th Battalion, CEF, in Valcartier, Quebec, on 22 September 1914 (number 22674) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 17 or 19 October 1917 - wounded on 30 October 1917 - invalided to England on 8 November 1917 - later served with reserve units.

Died on 31 January 1926.
