Private Samuel Rea

Born on 26 February 1892 in Fallowfield, Ontario - son of Mrs. W. Rea, Richmond, Ontario - at the time of his conscription in 1918: present address in Richmond, Ontario; single; Presbyterian; trade as farmer; no current or previous military service; height of 5 feet 4 inches; chest of 36.5 inches fully expanded; ruddy complexion; blue eyes; dark brown hair.

Conscripted into the 2nd Depot Battalion, Eastern Ontario Regiment, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 29 March 1918 (number 3320877) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 10 or 11 October 1918 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 6 June 1919.
