Private Alfred James Price

Born on 15 May 1877 in Kingston, Herefordshire, England - son of Mrs. Alice Price, Whitney on Wye, Herefordshire, England - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address in High River, Alberta; trade as laborer; single; no current or previous military service; Church of England; height of 5 feet 8 inches; chest of 36 inches fully expanded; medium complexion; grey eyes; grey hair.

Joined the 97th Battalion, CEF, in Toronto, Ontario, on 4 January 1916 (number 207411) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 18 or 19 April 1917 - wounded on 15 January 1918 - invalided to England on 1 February 1918.
