Lance-Corporal Thomas Johnson Porter

Born on 12 July 1889 in Baldur, Manitoba - next of kin listed as W.J. Porter, Baldur, Manitoba - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as engineering student; single; no current or previous military service; Wesleyan; height of 5 feet 7.5 inches; chest of 37.5 inches fully expanded; fair complexion; blue eyes; light hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, on 17 March 1915 (number 411097) - transferred to Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry on 16 July 1915 - wounded on 4 or 7 June 1916.
