Private George Norris

Born on 2 September 1888 in Montreal, Quebec - son of Mrs. Kate Norris, Ottawa, Ontario - at the time of his conscription in 1918: present address same as mother; single; Roman Catholic; trade as decorator; no current or previous military service; height of 5 feet 3 inches; chest of 36 inches fully expanded; fair complexion; grey eyes; light hair.

Conscripted into the 1st Depot Battalion, Eastern Ontario Regiment, CEF, in Kingston, Ontario, on 19 January 1918 (number 3056025) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 10 or 11 June 1918 - wounded on 2 September 1918 - invalided to England on 15 September 1918.
