Private Elmer Whitfield Northey

Born on 9 August 1892 in Youngs Point, Ontario - son of William G. Northey, Lakefield, Ontario - at the time of his conscription in 1918: present address in Lakefield, Ontario; single; Methodist; trade as farmer; no current or previous military service; height of 5 feet 7.5 inches; chest of 35 inches fully expanded; weight of 120 pounds; dark complexion; brown-grey eyes; brown hair.

Conscripted into the 1st Depot Battalion, Eastern Ontario Regiment, CEF, in Kingston, Ontario, on 1 March 1918 (number 3057027) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 10 or 11 October 1918 - wounded on 5 November 1918 - invalided to England on 11 November 1918.
