Honorary Captain James Sime Miller

Born on 24 June 1879 in Alnmouth, Northumberland, England - husband of Catharine Miller, Crystal City, Manitoba - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: trade as Minister of Presbyterian Church of Canada; Presbyterian; no current or previous military service.

Joined the 222nd Battalion, CEF, as Captain and battalion chaplain in Camp Hughes, Manitoba, on 19 September 1916 - taken on the strength of Canadian Chaplain Services in France on 5 January 1918 - attached to the 38th Battalion, CEF, as battalion chaplain from 11 January to 12 November 1918.
