Private Napoleon Laviolette

Born on 4 February 1892 in Hull, Quebec - son of D. Laviolette, Hull, Quebec - at the time of his conscription in 1918: present address in Hull, Quebec; single; Roman Catholic; trade as stone cutter; no current or previous military service; height of 5 feet 5.5 inches; chest of 35 inches fully expanded; blonde complexion; brown eyes; blonde hair.

Joined the 119th Battalion, CEF, on 4 January 1916 - [then what] - conscripted into the 2nd Depot Battalion, Eastern Ontario Regiment, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 15 February 1918 (number 3320614) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 9 or 10 August 1918 - wounded on 2 September 1918 - invalided to England on 20 September 1918 - died of those wounds on 23 September 1918 - buried in Walmer (St. Mary) Old Churchyard (grave 224), England.
