Private Frederick Saunders Knight

Born on 3 November 1884 in Bridgestone, Barbados, British West Indies - brother of F.H. Knight, Bridgetown, British West Indies - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as clerk; single; no current or previous military service; Church of England; height of 5 feet 9 inches; chest of 39 inches fully expanded; dark complexion; dark brown eyes; black hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 21 January 1915 (number 410321) - transferred to the 2nd Battalion, CEF, on 25 August 1915 - promoted to the rank of Corporal.
