Private Samuel Wesley Keeler

Born on 14 May 1892 in Ottawa, Ontario - husband of Eliza Keeler, Ottawa, Ontario - son of John Keeler, Bristol, Quebec - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as machinist; married; no current military service; previously served with The Royal Canadian Regiment (ten months); Wesleyan; height of 5 feet 8 inches; chest of 34 inches fully expanded; healthy complexion; grey eyes; blonde hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 20 February 1915 (number 410459) - transferred to the 2nd Battalion, CEF, on 25 August 1915 - died of sickness in England on 4 December 1916 - buried in Liverpool (Kirkdale) Cemetery (grave VII.N.C.1227), England.
