Private David Kelton

Born on 30 June 1894 in Renfrew, Ontario - son of Mrs. Catherine Kelton, Glasgow, Scotland - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as blacksmith; single; no current or previous military service; Salvation Army; height of 5 feet 5.5 inches; chest of 39 inches fully expanded; ruddy complexion; brown eyes; black hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 7 April 1915 (number 410519) - served with the 38th Battalion during its period of garrison duty in Bermuda - transferred to the Canadian Engineers, CEF, on 3 or 12 August 1916 - later served with the Canadian Army Service Corps, CEF.
