Joined the 92nd Battalion, CEF, in Toronto, Ontario, on 30 August 1915 (number 192954) - discharged circa January 1916 - joined the Divisional Signal Company, Canadian Engineers, CEF, in Toronto, Ontario, on 28 May 1917 (number 2265671) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 10 or 11 June 1918 - wounded on 2 September 1918 - invalided to England on 5 September 1918.
Joined the Permanent Force in Toronto, Ontario, on 12 July 1919.
