Private Wilfred Wilmot Heasler

Born on 1 April 1897 in Toronto, Ontario - son of Philip Heasler, Gananoque Junction, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address in Gananoque Junction, Ontario, trade as farmer, single, no current or previous military service, Presbyterian, height of 5 feet 7 inches, chest of 36.5 inches fully expanded, fair complexion, blue eyes, light hair.

Joined the 156th Battalion, CEF, in Gananoque, Ontario, on 7 February 1916 (number 639510) - "deserted" on 17 May 1916 - "retaken on strength" on 14 October 1916 - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 24 May 1917 - wounded on 27 March 1918 - invalided to England on 2 April 1918.

He died on 20 March 1925.
