Private Thomas Edgar Knight

Born on 16 September 1896 in Horton, Ontario - son of John E. and Margaret E. Knight, Almonte, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as labourer; single; currently a member of the 42nd Regiment; no previous military service; Wesleyan; height of 5 feet 4.5 inches; chest of 35 inches fully expanded; dark complexion; blue eyes; dark hair.

Joined the 59th Battalion, CEF, on 13 January 1915 - transferred to the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 21 or 22 June 1915 (number 410334) - served with the 38th Battalion during its period of garrison duty in Bermuda - landed in France with the 38th Battalion on 13 August 1915 - died of wounds on 15 January 1918 - buried in Anzin-St. Aubin British Cemetery (grave III.A.6), France.
