Private Joseph Lajoie

Born on 25 February 1885 in St. Thomas, Ontario - nephew of Mayfair Poulin - at the time of his conscription in 1918: present address in Fassett, Quebec; single; Roman Catholic; trade as farmer; no current or previous military service; height of 5 feet 7.5 inches; chest of 38 inches fully expanded; dark complexion; hazel eyes; black hair; "flat feet".

Conscripted into the 2nd Depot Battalion, Eastern Ontario Regiment, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 11 April 1918 (number 3320816) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 10 or 11 October 1918 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 16 June 1919.
