Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 11 January 1915 (number 410108) - [left when] - joined the 77th Battalion CEF, on 8 August 1915 - served with the 38th Battalion during its period of garrison duty in Bermuda - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 25 December 1915 - joined the 130th Battalion, CEF, on 26 February 1915 - taken on the strength of the 3rd Battalion, CEF [?] - taken on the strength of the Canadian Machine Gun Corps on 13 May 1918.
