Staff-Sergeant Thomas Yorath

Born on 21 November 1885 in Cardiff, Glamorganshire, Wales - brother of Christopher James Yorath, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as student; single; no current or previous military service; Church of England; height of 5 feet 4.5[?] inches; chest of 35 inches fully expanded; dark complexion; dark brown eyes; black hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, on 3 April 1915 (number 411103) - transferred to Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, CEF, on 16 July 1915 - wounded on 9 August 1917 - transferred to the 7th Canadian Light Trench Mortar Battery, CEF, on 1 October 1917.
