Private William Henry O'Reilly

Born on 13 March 1889 in Ottawa, Ontario - husband of Mrs. William H. O'Reilly, Ottawa, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: trade as painter; married; no current military service; previously served with the 2nd Field Battery (Ottawa, two years); Roman Catholic; height of 5 feet 4.5 inches; chest of 34.5 inches fully expanded; medium complexion; grey eyes; brown hair.

Joined the 156th Battalion, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 31 January 1916 (number 639304) - transferred to the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 24 May 1917 - invalided sick to England on 3 August 1917 - later served with reserve units.
