Private Louis Reed Clark

Born on 18 November 1894 in Iona, Ontario - son of Hammond (or Hermon) and Sarah M. Clark, Iona, Ontario - enlistment records provide the following: present address in Iona, Ontario, trade as lineman, single, no current or previous military service, Methodist, height of 5 feet 5.5 inches, chest of 35 inches fully expanded, fair complexion, blue eyes, light brown hair.

Joined the 91st Battalion, CEF, in St. Thomas, Ontario, on 4 March 1916 (number 190049) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 20 or 21 August 1916 - killed in action on 9 April 1917 - name listed on the Vimy Memorial, France.
