Private Lorne Edward Young

Born on 15 October 1887 in Perth, Ontario - son of Matilda Young, Perth, Ontario - at the time of his conscription in 1918: present address same as mother; single; Roman Catholic; trade as printer; no current or previous military service; height of 5 feet 4.5 inches; chest of 35.5 inches fully expanded; dark complexion; brown eyes; brown hair.

Conscripted into the 1st Depot Battalion, Eastern Ontario Regiment, CEF, in Kingston, Ontario, on 5 April 1918 (number 3057657) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 12 or 13 September 1918 - wounded on 28 September 1918 - invalided to England on 3 October 1918.
