Corporal Richard William Worsdale

Born on 7 February 1890 in Stoke-on-Trent, England - son of Mrs. Mary Alice Worsdale, Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, England - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as glass-packer; single; no current or previous military service; Church of England; height of 5 feet 7.5 inches; chest of 36 inches fully expanded; fair complexion; blue eyes; fair hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Smiths Falls, Ontario, on 17 January 1915 (number 410667) - served with the 38th Battalion during its period of garrison duty in Bermuda - landed in France with the 38th Battalion on 13 August 1916 - wounded on 18 November 1916 - invalided to England on 24 November 1916 - later served with reserve units.
