Sergeant Albert Musker Whalley

Born on 8 February 1887 in Liverpool, England - son of George Whalley, Montreal, Quebec - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as carpenter; single; currently a member of the 5th Royal Highlanders of Canada; no previous military service; Church of England; height of 5 feet 10.5 inches; chest of 37.25 inches fully expanded; dark complexion; blue eyes; dark brown hair.

Joined the 73rd Battalion, CEF, in Montreal, Quebec, on 3 August 1915 (number 132074) - landed in France with the 72nd Battalion on 12 August 1916 - transferred to the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 20 April 1917 - wounded on 28 May 1918 - invalided to England on 4 June 1918.
