Private Charles Brigaitis

Born on 16 February 1898 in Manschester, Lancashire, England - son of Mrs. William Brigaitis, Toronto, Ontario - enlistment records note the following: present address in Toronto, Ontario, trade as laborer, single, no current or previous military service, Roman Catholic, height of 5 feet 7.5 inches, chest of 35 inches fully expanded, fair complexion, blue eyes, fair hair.

Joined the 126th Canadian Infantry Battalion in Toronto, Ontario, on 17 February 1916 (number 775788) - taken on the strength of the 38th Canadian Infantry Battalion in France on 4 or 6 December 1916 - killed in action on 10 August 1918 - name listed on the Vimy Memorial, France.
