Joined the 59th Battalion, CEF, in Lindsay, Ontario, on 29 May 1915 - transferred to the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 22 June 1915 (number 410757) - served with the 38th Battalion during its period of garrison duty in Bermuda - landed in France with the 38th Battalion on 13 August 1916 - invalided sick to England on 1 September 1916 - later served with reserve units.

Hi again Ken, I also found a portrait of my Grand Uncle Ned (Edward) which is dated Dec. 10th 1915, Bermuda. The back reads: "Just lest we forget, Wishing Aunt Elsie and all the rest a Merry Xmas - Ned, Bermuda Dec 10th 1915." I would be happy to send you an image of the portrait to add to the blog post.
