Private Thomas Henry Harper

Born on 29 December 1892 in Cobden, Ontario - brother of William Harper, Cobden, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as blacksmith, single, no current or previous military service, Wesleyan, height of 5 feet 5 inches, chest of 35 inches fully expanded, fair complexion, blue eyes, red hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Smiths Falls, Ontarion, on 4 January 1915 (number 410742) - transferred to the 2nd Battalion, CEF, on 25 August 1915 - transferred to the Canadian Engineers on 26 January 1917 - rejoined the 2nd Battalion on 22 September 1917.
