Private Frank Elliott Harper

Born on 27 February 1887 in Suffolk, England - son of Mrs. Mary Harper, Mattawa, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as lumberjack, single, no current or previous military service, Church of England, height of 5 feet 4 inches, chest of 37.5 inches fully expanded, dark complexion, brown eyes, dark hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Smiths Falls, Ontario, on 24 February 1915 (number 410302) - served with the 38th Battalion during its period of garrison duty in Bermuda - landed in France with the 38th Battalion on 13 August 1916 - wounded on 1 November 1916 - invalided to England on 8 November 1916.
