Acting Company Sergeant-Major (Corporal) Thomas Edward Harris

Born on 12 February 1881 in Totnes, Devonshire, England - husband of Annie Louisa Harris, Totnes, Devonshire, England - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as professional rowing coach, married, no current or previous military service, Church of England, height of 5 feet 9.5 inches, chest of 38 inches fully expanded, swarthy complexion, hazel eyes, black hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 29 January 1915 (number 410759) - served with the 38th Battalion during its period of garrison duty in Bermuda - landed in France with the 38th Battalion on 13 August 1916 - invalided sick to England on 20 January 1917 - later served with reserve units.
