Joined the 109th Canadian Infantry Battalion on 16 February 1916 (number 725242) - taken on the strength of the 38th Canadian Infantry Battalion in France on 4 or 6 December 1916 - died on 14 August 1918 of wounds received that day - buried in Boves West Communal Cemetery Extension (grave A.8), France.
