Private George Woods

Born on 3 June 1894 in Gooderham, Ontario - son of George Woods, Kinmount, Ontario - at the time of his conscription in 1918: present address in Kinmount, Ontario; single; Presbyterian; trade as labourer; no current or previous military service; height of 5 feet 7 inches; chest of 35.5 inches fully expanded; dark complexion; grey eyes; dark hair.

Conscripted into the 1st Depot Battalion, Eastern Ontario Regiment, CEF, in Kingston, Ontario, on 27 March 1918 (number 3056908) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 12 or 13 September 1918 - wounded on 2 October 1918 - rejoined the 38th Battalion on 9 December 1918 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 16 June 1919.
