Corporal William Thomas Woolnough

Born on 2 January 1889 in Carleton, Ontario - son of Mr. F. and Mrs. H. Woolnough, Melton, Suffolk, England - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address in Kinburn, Ontario; trade as farmer; single; no current or previous military service; Church of England; height of 5 feet 8.5 inches; chest of 35 inches fully expanded; medium complexion; blue eyes; brown hair.

Joined the 207th Battalion, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 1 June 1916 (number 246469) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 26 or 27 September 1917 - killed in action on 21 July 1918 - buried in Écoivres Military Cemetery (grave VIII.A.6), France.
