Private James Barton Scott

Born on 29 March 1896 in Scotland - son of Thomas Scott, Glasgow, Scotland - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: present address in Cardinal, Ontario; trade as carpenter; single; currently a member of the Canal Patrol (thirteen months); no previous military service; Presbyterian; height of 5 feet 5.25 inches; chest of 36 inches fully expanded; ruddy complexion; gray blue eyes; light brown hair.

Joined the 156th Battalion, CEF, in Prescott, Ontario, on 4 December 1915 (number 639234) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 18 or 19 January 1918 - struck off the strength of the 38th Battalion on 5 May 1919.
