Private Lewis Lee

Born on 6 July 1892 in Sommerville, Ontario - grandson of Edward Lee, Norland, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: present address in Norland, Ontario; trade as farmer; single; no current or previous military experience; Presbyterian; height of 5 feet 5.25 inches; chest of 37 inches fully expanded; fair complexion; blue eyes; very light brown hair.

Joined the 109th Battalion, CEF, in Coboconk, Ontario, on 22 February 1916 (number 724076) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 4 or 6 December 1916 - attached to No. 1 Tunnelling Company, Canadian Engineers, CEF, on 5 February 1917 - transferred to No. 1 Tunnelling Company, Canadian Engineers, CEF, on 5 October 1917.
