Private Edward Harry Lewin

Born on 28 December 1891 in Moosomin, Saskatchewan - son of F.G. Lewis, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as clerk; single; no current or previous military service; Church of England; height of 5 feet 4 inches; chest of 35.25 inches fully expanded; fair complexion; blue eyes; golden hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, on 3 May 1915 (number 411172) - transferred to Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry, CEF, on 16 July 1915 - promoted to Acting-Sergeant.
