Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 1 March 1915 (number 410277) - served with the 38th Battalion during its period of garrison duty in Bermuda - landed in France with the 38th Battalion on 13 August 1916 - wounded on 3 or 4 September 1916 - invalided to England on 23 September 1916 - died of his wounds in England on 22 February 1917 - buried in Bramshott (St. Mary) Churchyard (grave I.K.1), England.
