Private George Stickney

Born on 16 January 1894 in Montreal, Quebec - son of Frank Stickney, New York, New York - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as farmer; single; no current or previous military service; Church of England; height of 5 feet 9.5 inches; chest of 36 inches fully expanded; medium complexion; brown eyes; black hair.

Joined the 51st Battalion, CEF, in Edmonton, Alberta, on 17 June 1915 (number 437449) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 5 or 6 October 1916 - transferred to the 12th Brigade Machine Gun Company, CMGC, CEF, on 15 December 1916 - died in England of sickness on 29 October 1917 - buried in Bournemouth East Cemetery (grave R.I.146), United Kingdom.
