Sergeant (Armourer) John Lee Perrin

Born on 15 August 1894 in Smiths Falls, Ontario - son of Elizabeth Perrin, Smiths Falls, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as "machinier"; single; no current or previous militia service; Wesleyan; height of 5 feet 7 inches; chest of 34.5 inches fully expanded; ruddy complexion; hazel eyes; brown hair.

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Ottawa, Ontario, on 24 February 1915 (number 410581) - served with the 38th Battalion during its period of garrison duty in Bermuda - landed in France on 13 August 1916 - transferred to the Canadian Ordnance Corps, CEF, on 15 August 1916 - promoted to armourer quartermaster-sergeant.
