Sergeant Nathaniel Cameron McFarlane

Born on 23 February 1892 in Fredericton, New Brunswick - next of kin listed as S.H. McFarlane, Fredericton, New Brunswick - at the time of his enlistment in 1915: trade as chemist; single; currently a member of the Macdonald College Canadian Officers' Training Corps; previously served with the 71st Regiment and the 28th New Brunswick Dragoons; Presbyterian; height of 5 feet 8.5 inches; chest of 36 inches fully expanded; fair complexion; grey eyes; light brown hair - at the time of his re-enlistment in 1916: married; previously served with the 71st Regiment (three years) and the 28th New Brunswick Dragoons (three years).

Joined the 38th Battalion, CEF, in Montreal, Quebec, on 11 March 1915 (number 410959) - transferred to Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry on 17 July 1915 - [then what] - joined the 236th Battalion, CEF, as a Lieutenant in Fredericton, New Brunswick, on 13 September 1916 - taken on the strength of Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry on 11 October 1918.
