Sergeant Harry George Jones

Born on 26 June 1886 in Orillia, Ontario - husband of Edna Florence Jones, Toronto, Ontario - son of Robert and Rose Jones, Toronto, Ontario - at the time of his enlistment in 1916: trade as insurance agent; married; no current military service; previously served with the 35th Regiment; Baptist; height of 5 feet 9.5 inches; chest of 37.5 inches fully expanded; fair complexion; blue eyes; light brown hair.

Joined the 126th Battalion, CEF, in Toronto, Ontario, on 3 January 1916 (number 775097) - taken on the strength of the 38th Battalion, CEF, on 4 or 6 December 1916 - killed in action on 30 October 1917 - name inscribed on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial (panel 10-18-26-28), Belgium.
